Elon Musk has rebranded his space and AI companies as SpaceXAI, according to a post on X. It marks the integration of the former xAI into SpaceX after the companies merged earlier this year.
The new name and logo align the AI business with SpaceX’s broader strategy of combining artificial intelligence, satellite communications and space infrastructure under a single brand.

The rebranding comes as SpaceX expands beyond launch services into AI computing. The company recently unveiled plans for an orbital AI computing network known as Starmind and has been investing heavily in AI infrastructure, according to Barron’s.
The name change is largely cosmetic, but it reflects a broader strategic shift. Rather than operating AI as a separate company, SpaceX is positioning it as a core part of its long-term business alongside rockets, Starlink and satellite-based computing.
