Google, Accenture Plan 1,000-Engineer Push to Deploy AI Inside Companies

Google Cloud and Accenture took the veil off today on a new group that would combine Google’s technical expertise and Accenture’s consulting services to help their clients deploy AI at scale.

The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will bring together Accenture employees certified in Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud engineers, Accenture consultants and forward-deployed engineers that will be embedded with clients. The companies said the group will work on projects ranging from smaller, business-unit implementations to enterprise-wide AI transformations.

Accenture said it plans to expand Gemini Enterprise training and certification and establish a 1,000-person forward-deployed engineer workforce. The group will focus on increasing Gemini Enterprise adoption.

The companies pointed to YouTube as an example of their collaboration. Accenture and Google Cloud deployed a Gemini Enterprise agent to support YouTube during periods of high demand for NFL Sunday Ticket, which they said increased customer sentiment by 11% and reduced average customer-service handle time by 37%.

The initiative reflects a broader push to embed technical experts inside customers to turn AI pilots into production systems and measurable results. Anthropic and OpenAI have expanded their own forward-deployed engineering efforts, adopting an approach pioneered by Palantir, as competition increasingly shifts from providing advanced AI models to helping enterprises put them to work.
