Meta is expanding the news and real-time information available through Meta AI, rolling out broader integrations that will surface links and updates from a wider range of publishers.
As part of the initial launch, Meta is partnering with CNN, Fox News, Fox Sports, Le Monde Group, People Inc. media brands, The Daily Caller, The Washington Examiner, USA Today and the USA Today Network. Additional partners and new features are expected as the company continues to build out the service.
Meta said users who ask news-related questions will now be informed by more diverse sources for more “balanced” responses, with direct links to partner outlets to encourage deeper reading and drive traffic back to publishers.
Meta said the expansion is designed to make Meta AI more responsive, accurate and balanced, particularly around fast-moving events that traditional AI systems have struggled to track. The company added that usage of Meta AI continues to grow across creative, entertainment and research tasks, and said it plans to test more experiences as the product evolves.
