OpenAI said it has raised $110 billion in new funding at a $730 billion pre-money valuation, underscoring surging demand for artificial intelligence across consumers, developers and businesses.
The round includes $30 billion each from SoftBank and Nvidia, and $50 billion from Amazon. Additional financial investors are expected to join.
The company also announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Amazon and expanded collaboration with Nvidia, securing 3 gigawatts of dedicated inference capacity and 2 gigawatts of training on next-generation systems.
OpenAI said it has more than 900 million weekly active users on ChatGPT and over 50 million consumer subscribers. More than 9 million paying business users rely on the platform, while weekly users of its Codex software tool have tripled this year to 1.6 million.
The new valuation lifts the OpenAI Foundation’s stake to more than $180 billion, expanding its capacity to fund philanthropy, including health and AI resilience initiatives.
