Snowflake, OpenAI Strike $200 Million Enterprise AI Partnership

Snowflake announced a new multi-year, $200 million partnership with OpenAI aimed at helping global enterprises deploy AI agents on proprietary data and generate measurable business value.

Under the agreement, OpenAI models will be natively available to Snowflake’s 12,600 customers through Snowflake Cortex AI across major cloud platforms. Models including GPT-5.2 will be accessible within Snowflake Intelligence, the company’s enterprise intelligence agent, enabling employees to query and act on organizational data using natural language.

Snowflake said the partnership includes joint product development and go-to-market efforts, with a focus on secure, governed AI deployments. Customers such as Canva and WHOOP are already using Snowflake’s platform and plan to integrate OpenAI models to enhance analytics, creative tools and decision-making.

Executives from both companies said the collaboration is designed to close the gap between AI capabilities and real-world enterprise adoption, while maintaining strong security, governance and reliability standards.
